Prof. Ray is Executive Director and Chief Scientist at the NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health, a UK-licensed medical doctor and registered public health nutritionist, and a university professor specialising in global nutrition and population health. With over 25 years’ experience across clinical medicine, public health, and nutrition, his work connects rigorous research with real-world impact.

He has secured £28M+ in research funding, authored 200+ peer-reviewed publications, and co-written leading textbooks, including the Oxford Handbook of Clinical and Healthcare Research. He is the Founding Chair of BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health, a leading journal published in association with BMJ. He also collaborates closely with global partners, including the World Health Organization, and leads initiatives such as the Mobile Teaching Kitchen, which spans six continents and advances equitable, practical nutrition solutions worldwide.
